Transport History

Dingles Steam and Fairground museum has an amazing collection of steam engines fairground rides and side shows.

The narrow gauge railway at Launceston Steam Railway is a great trip out for families. Break your journey at the farm park at the furthest station with small animals, play area and café.
Fun for the Family
The Tamar Valley Donkey Park  is just ten minutes away and is a wonderful place for small children. They have a large play barn for bad weather with indoor donkey rides.

Morwellham Quay. This museum about Victorian life in the old copper port on the river is a great place to spend the whole day. Go underground by train into the William and Charlotte Mine. Learn to twist ropes, dress up in Victorian clothes.
